The basics. What a Peppol Access Point does.
A Peppol Access Point is the certified gateway between your company and the Peppol network. It turns your invoice into a valid Peppol document and checks it against the rules.
It then finds your customer's Access Point and delivers the document over a secure channel. Four parties, one standard. That is the four-corner model.
Do you need your own?
No. Every company on Peppol needs an Access Point, but almost none run one. Running your own means OpenPeppol membership, several months of conformance testing and a signed Transport Infrastructure Agreement. Then you maintain every new spec release yourself.

A Peppol Access Point is a certified gateway to the Peppol network. It validates your invoice, finds the Access Point of your customer and delivers the document over a secure channel. The receiving Access Point hands it to your customer. This is the four-corner model: sender, sender's Access Point, receiver's Access Point, receiver.
02Do I need my own Peppol Access Point?Basics
No. You need to be connected through one. Running your own means OpenPeppol membership, months of conformance testing and ongoing spec work. Most companies connect through a certified provider instead. With e-invoice.be your ERP stays as it is and you are live in days.
03Is e-invoice.be a certified Peppol Access Point?Certification
Yes. e-invoice.be is a certified Peppol Access Point. We run the Access Point ourselves. We are not a reseller of another provider. Your documents go from our Access Point straight onto the Peppol network.
04How long until we can send and receive?Timing
Creating an account takes under two minutes. The check of your company is a small wire transfer from your business bank account and takes 24 to 48 hours. Then your Peppol ID is live and you can send and receive by email, upload or API. An API integration with your ERP takes longer on your side, usually one to two weeks for production.
05What does it cost to send and receive?Cost
From €0.25 per document, lower when you buy credits in bulk. Sending and receiving are both billed per document. There is no subscription: you prepay credits and pay only for what you use. The first package is 1,500 credits for €350, including setup and the company check, plus a one-time €200 for support in the first year. After that, top up from €50. Your account and your Peppol ID are free. PDF conversion is an add-on.
06We are already on Peppol with another provider. Can we switch and keep our Peppol ID?Switching
Yes. Your Peppol ID belongs to your company, not to the Access Point. When you switch to e-invoice.be, your ID stays the same. We handle the migration of your registration, so your customers and suppliers change nothing.
07Can we use your Access Point for sending only?Sending
Yes. You can send your Peppol invoices through e-invoice.be and keep receiving through your current provider. Your Peppol ID stays registered there for incoming documents. You pay only for the documents you send through us. You can add receiving later.
08Do we have to change our ERP or invoicing software?ERP
No. Your ERP keeps producing invoices the way it does today. Send them by email, upload them, export UBL or connect through the API. If your ERP only produces PDFs, our PDF conversion add-on turns them into Peppol invoices.
09Is there a free Peppol Access Point?Cost
Your account and your Peppol ID are free with us. Every document you send or receive is billed, because each one is validated, delivered and archived. If you only send a few invoices a year, look at our pricing first to see if the first package fits your volume.
